Directions
From Durban: Take the N3 north and soon after the Estcourt
turnoff you will see the Estcourt North/Giants Castle turnoff to the
central berg resorts. Travel for about 15km on this road passing through
Loskop and for a further 5km until reach the Tokosisa info centre at the
crossroads with the R600. Turn left here and drive 9km into the Champagne
Valley.
From Johannesburg: Take the N3 to Harrismith- circumvent the
town staying on the freeway - and take the offramp into town and the road
to Bloemfontein. Take the road to Bethlehem a couple of kms outside of
Harrismith and turn left on the R712 "alternate route" to Durban after
about 8km, and then left again onto the R74 which will take you via the
Sterkfontein dam and Oliviershoek Pass into KZN and Bergville. Carry on to
Winterton (20km) and turn right straight after crossing the Tugela.
Proceed on the R600 to central berg resorts (approx 15km).
On entering the Champagne Valley, pass the Champagne Sports Resort, go
down small hill and take a right fork into the Cathkin Valley and the Drak
Sun hotel. At the hotel, you will pass through a boom gate , go over a grid and turn left at the traffic circle up the hill into
Yellowwood Drive. Ochre House is approx 500m up on the left in the first
small cul-de-sac (No 9 Yellowwood Drive)
