Meadow Lane Country Cottages

If you’re looking for tranquillity in a park-like setting, then welcome to Meadow Lane Country Cottages. Four self-catering cottages (6,4, 3 and 2 sleeper units) are surrounded by beautiful old trees, lively birds and 5 peacocks that love to display their colours! The gem of Meadow Lane has got to be the beautiful dam, home to ducks and geese and stocked with bass. Catch and release fishing is welcome!

The Cottages are a short walk away from the Umzimkulu river for tubing and flyfishing (licensed club members only) as well as a flowing single track mountain biking trail (book through Sani Spoors). Khotsa Horse Trails borders the property and day rides can be arranged. Meadow lane cottages are conveniantly situated for shopping at Underberg village and/or trips into the Southern Drakensberg.

Accommodation on the 14 hectare property comprises :

Faith Cottage - 2 bedroom, 4 sleeper 
Bedroom 1 has a double bed and bedroom 2 has 2 single beds all with bed linen. The bathroom has a bath and shower. The living room, dining room and kitchen are open plan with a romantic log fireplace. A complimentary box of firewood will be waiting for you to enjoy the cosy fire. The kitchen has a microwave, gas stove/oven, fridge/freezer and an excellent supply of crockery and cooking utensils. Enjoy a braai on the veranda overlooking the dam.

Hope Cottage- 6 sleeper, 2 bedrooms
Bedroom 1 has a double bed. Bedroom 2 sleeps 4 people with 2 single beds and a bunk bed. The bathroom has a shower. The living room, dining room and kitchen are open plan with a romantic log fireplace. A complimentary box of firewood will be waiting for you to enjoy the warmth of a cosy fire. The kitchen has a microwave, gas stove/oven, fridge/freezer and an excellent supply of crockery and cooking utensils. Enjoy a braai on the veranda with the dam in your sights.

Grace Cottage – 1 bedroom, 3 sleeper
This thatch cottage offers 1 bedroom with a double bed and a single bed in the lounge that doubles up as an extra couch. The spacious bathroom has a shower. It is an open plan living and dining room. The kitchen has a microwave, 2plate stove/oven, a fridge/freezer and an excellent supply of crockery and cooking utensils. The outside veranda is great for braais and a beautiful view over the property.
