Esigodini
(Zulu name for "place in the valley") is a delightful stone under
iron holiday cottage nestled in its own valley just off the
Drakensberg Gardens road approximately 1km from the
hotel
The
cottage is fully equipped and well appointed with 3 inside
bedrooms, a seperate rondavel and a newly built outside chalet with large bedroom and bathroom. The unit comfortably accommodates 10 people in the 5 bedrooms.
The lounge has a feature stone
fireplace and a DSTV set is provided but guests must bring their own
smartcard for satellite reception.
The house
is situated in a large 20 acre tree-filled garden with small dam and
stream running through the property. It has a commanding view of the
Rhino peak of the Drakensberg escarpment. Many walks can be
undertaken from the cottage either into the surrounding hills or
through the entrance at the Drakensberg Gardens to the KZN Wildlife
Conservation area (ask at the hotel for directions and free access).
Esigodini
is a wonderfully peaceful and comfortable refuge for a relaxing
getaway , and the ideal base from which to explore the beauty of the
southern Drakensberg.
